Let VINS and ArtisTree encourage your child’s vibrant curiosity. Through crafts, games, stories, and outdoor adventure, campers will explore the vast and amazing creatures that occupy the smallest crevices to the largest trees. During Anybody Home?, expert naturalists and art educators will guide your child’s discovery as we explore and reflect on the natural world often hidden in plain sight: under the bark of a dead tree, below the surface of the soil, and in the highest branches of the trees.

Monday-Friday, 9:00am-12:00pm, Friday session is held at VINS Nature Center

.
Circles of Life offers a week of exploration, hands-on nature discovery, and wonder. Campers will be guided through the amazing cycles that occur in our natural world: how caterpillars become butterflies, how tadpoles morph into frogs and how the smallest seed becomes the mightiest tree in the forest. And most importantly, children will begin to understand how they are connected to the natural world around them through the food they eat, the air they breathe, and the water they drink. VINS will encourage your child’s appreciation of the natural world.

Campers will have a blast learning about their favorite animals during this week of outdoor discovery. Each day will explore a theme based on different native vertebrate groups: mammals, fish, birds, amphibians, and reptiles. This camp gives children the opportunity to learn about the characteristics of these animals through art projects, games, outdoor exploration, stories and live animal encounters! Using their imagination and natural curiosity, campers will begin to understand what makes each animal unique and appreciate the special adaptations they need to survive in Vermont.

Expert art instruction from Purple Crayon Productions will help campers harness their imagination and create their own tiny ecosystem, elf village, or whatever they can dream up. These exciting opportunities to survey nature under a magnifying glass and microscope will give campers an appreciation for the many discoveries possible in the great outdoors.
