Ally Gelinas, Nature Camp Instructor
.
AllyHi, my Name is Ally, my favorite color is tie-dye and I am a Junior at SUNY Cobleskill studying wildlife management. I am the historian in our Student Chapter of The Wildlife Society and went to Nebraska for the Sandhill Crane Migration this past March. This past year I planned a Fish and Wildlife Festival for my department and it was a huge success with lots of animals and fun!
.
My passion is with birds big and small and would like to further my education with them in a rehabilitation setting and a Master’s program. I also like ecology and learning how nature is one big community that works together to keep balance.
.
For fun, in the summer, I like to go swimming, camping, hiking and take in the beauty of nature. This is my first time in Vermont and I would like to visit neat little shops, landmarks and summer festivals. I love to paint with watercolors, read and have a ukulele that I am determined to learn how to play this summer.
.
I have gone to sleepaway summer camp most my life starting as a camper and working my way up to be the first ever fishing director! I can’t see spending a summer without being surrounded by nature and teaching the next generation about the wonders of the natural world.
