StarLab - Total Solar Eclipse
All activities included with general admission to the VINS Nature Center.

The Vermont Institute of Natural Science will host the public debut of the Starlab, our portable planetarium, on Monday, August 21 at the VINS Nature Center. Presentations will include: 12:30pm - 1:00pm Milky Way Starfield & H.A. Rey Constellations; 1:15pm - 1:45pm Native American Mythology & Navajo Skies; and 2:00pm - 2:30pm Milky Way Starfield & H.A. Rey Constellations. You can learn more about Native American Mythology & Navajo Skies prior to the StarLab event by reading our blog, Science Talk.

Teachers will also receive half-price admission to the VINS Nature Center! See how the StarLab can support the NGSS and enhance your science, social studies and Language Arts lessons in your classroom. NOTE: The Solar Eclipse will begin in Quechee at 1:24pm, will reach its maximum at 2:42pm and will end at 3:55pm. All visitors at the VINS Nature Center will be encouraged to gather in the meadow at 2:30pm to share this moment together.

All visitors to the VINS Nature Center for the StarLab event will receive a free pair of Solar Eclipse glasses with the price of admission.
