Small Wonders: 9:30 – 10:15 AM
Visit VINS to learn about the animals that are still up and about in our snowy winter. Play Red Squirrel/Gray Squirrel, a game about caching food. Listen to a tracking story and follow along on your own tracking “map”. Enjoy a puppet show and songs about tracking. Use our track mats to walk like an animal and play an Animals and their Tracks Matching Game.

Little Explorers: 10:15 – 11:00 AM
Visit VINS to learn about the animals that are still up and about in our snowy winter. Do an animal gait relay race and go on a nature walk to see what tracks and other animal signs you can find. Animal tracks can be identified by their size and shape, their gait (how the animal moves) and their behavior. Some animals track using their sense of smell – try it out with our Scent Tracking activity!
