Meet the Artist:
Jessica will be at the VINS Nature Center for National Get Outdoors Day on Saturday, June 10 from 10 AM to 12 PM. Observe Jessica as she creates a piece inspired by the beauty of our campus. 

About Jessica Fligg:
Jessica is an artist working primarily with oils from her studio in Ashland NH. Growing up, Jessica was always interested in art. At a very early age she started drawing with her great-grandmother. Throughout school she took every opportunity for art classes and extracurricular art activities. Jessica went on to study painting at the New Hampshire Institute of Art.

Jessica is an avid plein air painter. She loves to capture the impression of her subject matter, as she is reacting to it, capturing a moment in time. Plein air painting gives Jessica the opportunity to immerse herself in nature. The most memorable times while painting is when the unexpected happens. An encounter with a fox or being able to watch song birds silently from behind her easel. Through her paintings Jessica strives to convey the liveliness of the world around her to highlight the amazing strength and beauty of natural places.
