Ever wake to the dawn chorus of songbirds and ask what are they doing this early in the morning? Or wonder who is singing outside your window? Want to get better at identifying birds by sight and sound?

Join VINS for an early morning birding adventure through the varied habitats at the VINS Nature Center and culminating in the treetops on the Forest Canopy Walk. During this workshop, VINS staff will open your eyes and ears to the avian life around you and help you build the skills to start birding wherever you go.

This workshop will take place on VINS’ ADA-accessible McKnight Trail and the Forest Canopy Walk and participants of all abilities are invited to register. Designed for the beginner to intermediate birder.

Field guide and binoculars are recommended for this event. Journals and field guides are available at the Nature Store (online), for curbside pick-up the morning of the event.

This workshop will be held outdoors, rain or shine. Participants should dress appropriately.
