Ogden’s 40th Birthday

Ogden, Turkey Vulture

May 15 | 12:15 pm - 1:45 pm

Ogden, the turkey vulture, is turning 40 years old!  Join us for a Facebook Live Q&A and an in-person Meet & Greet* at the VINS Nature Center with one of VINS’s oldest animal ambassadors. We are so excited to celebrate Og and this milestone achievement!

Before being transferred to VINS in 2002 from Rapid City, South Dakota, Ogden was a wild Turkey Vulture. In 1981, she was likely struck by a car, fracturing her right-wing. She was soon found on the side of the road unable to fly and missing five of her talons, and was brought into captivity for treatment.

Facebook Live: 12:15 – 12:45 PM
In-Person Meet & Greet at VINS: 1 – 1:45 PM (Included with admission to the VINS Nature Center)

Reserve Tickets:
General Public

*Ogden is “retired” from in-person encounters and has the freedom to return to her enclosure and end the encounter at any time.
