Saturday, May 10 / 10 AM – 5 PM

Celebrate World Migratory Bird Day with our amigos in Colombia! Tropicos Colombia is a conservation organization dedicated to scientific research and education about tropical and migratory bird species. Located along the Pan-American flyway, millions of migratory birds from all over North America find winter homes in Colombia’s diverse tropical forests.

We’re celebrating our connection via raptors (or rapaces) like the Broad-winged Hawk, (or Busardo Aliancho) who lives in the temperate forests of Vermont from April – September, and in the tropical forests of Colombia from October – March.

Come visit VINS on World Migratory Bird Day to see some of the art Tropicos Colombia’s students have created as they learn about what makes raptors an important part of the environment, and feel inspired to make some art of your own!
