Yoga Walk: A Meditative Tour of VINS

Come join us for “Bird Yoga” at VINS! During this meditative yet playful event, we’ll stroll mindfully through the grounds, pausing to do simple yoga poses on the trails, including with the raptors, inside the new songbird exhibit and on the Forest Canopy Walk. Most of our time will be spent in silence, before the grounds are open to the public, so that as you move, you can enjoy being quiet and present among the sights, smells and sounds of a fall morning.

Local yoga teacher “Miss Amanda” Anderson will weave in yogic mythology as well as mindfulness techniques and accessible yoga poses throughout this event, and we’ll finish with an unforgettable Forest Canopy relaxation.

All levels of yoga experience are welcome. Participants should wear clothes to stretch in, shoes for walking, and bring a mat, blanket, or towel to carry along for the final relaxation.

In the event of rain, this event will be postponed to the following Sunday, October 9.
