JUNE 5 - JULY 31 - Through her paintings Jessica Fligg strives to convey the liveliness of the world around her to highlight the amazing strength and beauty of natural places. She loves to capture the impression of her subject matter, as she is reacting to it, capturing a moment in time. Plein air painting gives Jessica the opportunity to immerse herself in nature.
Drawing from Nature Class: Flowers and their Pollinators
JULY 8 - In this Drawing from Nature class, the focus will be on flowers and their pollinators. Learn tips and tricks for drawing as well as for creating vivid pages that depict personal natural history experiences. Drawing/sketching experience not necessary, all skill levels welcome.
Incredible Insect Festival
JULY 8 - Welcome to the fascinating world of insects at the Incredible Insect Festival! Renowned insect expert Sam Jaffe will showcase a multitude of live caterpillars at The Caterpillar Lab. Have a fun day discovering the insects we share our planet with through demonstrations, exhibits, games and crafts.
