OCT 20 to NOV 11 - With a goal to raise $20,000, these funds will support VINS’ environmental education, research and wildlife rehabilitation program, as well as the thousands of children, families, educators, adult learners and avian patients who benefit from them each year.
Artist Exhibition – Jon & Deborah Meyer
NOVEMBER 1 - JANUARY 8 - Visit our artist exhibition at the VINS Nature Center featuring Jon and Deborah Meyer, a combination of artwork and poetry. Deborah loves to watch and listen to birds and learn about their lives. Her drawn bird images married with Jon's poetry are from their upcoming book, Quest of the Birds, a parable of a mixed flock of birds seeking their true Self.
Veterans Day
NOVEMBER 11 - Happy Veterans Day! We are happy to welcome Veterans and Active Service Members to the VINS Nature Center on November 11; simply provide your military identification for complimentary admission.
Raptors Up Close
Take flight with us on an unforgettable experience! We’ll show you the unique nature of some of the world’s most highly skilled predators – raptors! In this live bird demonstration you’ll gain an up-close view and an in-depth understanding of these majestic birds.
Songbird Aviary Tour
Spend some time in our newest exhibit – the Songbird Aviary! Our docents will familiarize you with this special group of birds and point out the ways you can make a great habitat for these important creatures in your own backyard.

NOVEMBER 11 - Meet the artists, Jon and Deborah Meyer, at the VINS Nature Center on Veterans Day. Jon will provide a reading of their latest collaboration, Quest of the Birds: the inner and outer journey, a combination of artwork and poetry.
Animal Encounter
Meet an ambassador animal and hear their story while we learn about the adaptations they have that help their species survive in the wild. Join us for a reptile ambassador on Sunday, Tuesday, and Thursday, or a raptor ambassador on Monday, Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday!
Raptor Feeding Time
Join our raptor care-givers for feeding time! Learn about the habits and history of each of the resident raptors at VINS as you watch them enjoy their daily meal.
