AUGUST 15 & 29 - Welcome to a yoga class like you’ve never experienced before. Ascend into the treetops on the VINS Forest Canopy Walk and immerse yourself in the beauty of the early summer foliage. Expect a slow-flow class that will incorporate sun salutations, standing poses, balance poses, and brief meditation. All levels of experience are welcome.
Join a VINS Educator to learn all about our resident reptiles! We’ll listen to stories about how these creatures got their awesome adaptations, and meet a turtle or a snake.
Join us as we explore the natural world through the eyes of raptors. Be amazed by these efficient predators in an engaging presentation featuring VINS’ feathered ambassadors.
In this encounter you will explore the fascinating lives of raptors. Delve deep into subjects ranging from how we rehabilitate hundreds of birds each year, the fundamentals of how we train our raptors to the specialties of certain raptor groups like falcons and owls.
SATURDAYS / AUG 21 & 28 - Love birds? VINS has the class for you! Join this 2-day workshop to develop basic knowledge of bird anatomy and hone your observation and drawing skills.
AUGUST 21 - Where do milkweed pods become bathtubs and beds, and acorns caps become dinnerware? In Fairy Town at VINS, of course! Building fairy houses with natural materials and trekking through the VINS forest while hunting for fairies offers children and their families a unique opportunity to connect with the natural world and to nurture respect for the environment.
