APRIL 2 - AUGUST 31 - View artwork by Margaret (Peggy) Lampe Kannenstine in the Neale Pavilion at the VINS Nature Center. Peggy is a local artist whose acrylic paintings and works on paper have been shown widely for decades and can be seen in many collections around the country.
In this intimate encounter you will explore the fascinating lives of raptors. Delve deep into subjects ranging from how we rehabilitate hundreds of birds each year, the fundamentals of how we train our raptors to the specialties of certain raptor groups like falcons and owls.
AUGUST 7 - Welcome to a yoga class like you’ve never experienced before. Ascend into the treetops on the VINS Forest Canopy Walk and immerse yourself in the beauty of the early summer foliage. Expect a slow-flow class that will incorporate sun salutations, standing poses, balance poses, and brief meditation. All levels of experience are welcome.
Join us for hands-on discovery, exploration, and fun! Activities vary and may include our mobile Magnet Wall, Water Works, Sensory Table, Wind Tunnel, Outdoor Ramps, and more. Fun for all ages awaits!
Join us as we explore the natural world through the eyes of raptors. Be amazed by these efficient predators in an engaging presentation featuring VINS’ feathered ambassadors.
Join a VINS Educator to learn all about our resident reptiles! We’ll listen to stories about how these creatures got their awesome adaptations, and meet a turtle or a snake.
