Members of our research team often double as teachers who welcome the public to help band hawks, monitor eagles, or check kestrel boxes. Some of our best educators are the birds themselves, like Chesterland the Harris’s Hawk with his magnificent flights across the Forest Canopy Walk. Even our Center for Wild Bird Rehabilitation is staffed with educators. When you find an injured bird, our rehab team is here to answer your questions about the bird’s progress and maybe even invite you to witness your bird’s release.
