SUMMARY:Chang Memorial Fly Fishing Event
DESCRIPTION:23rd Annual David Chang Memorial Fly Fishing Event\nSeptember 20 / 10 AM – 2 PM\nHeld at the home of VINS Advisor Judy Callens\, White River Junction\, Vermont*\nThis family-friendly event is designed to teach children the sport of fly fishing and the importance of a healthy ecosystem. Fly fishing and fly tying is geared for children 8+ and additional activities are available for younger ages. All children must be accompanied by an adult. This event is free but registration is required in advance. \nRegistration is now closed. \nWe look forward to enjoying a beautiful fall day at the Annual David P.C. In partnership with Trout Unlimited\, this free event is an engaging experience for families and friends to tie and cast flies\, and explore the fish habitat in the Callens’ pond. Afterwards\, enjoy a cookout supported by the Chang family\, Trout Unlimited\, and VINS. Please register by September 12th so that we have an accurate count for the cookout. \n*Directions to the location provided upon registration. \nFor more information\, contact Hannah Gelroth at 802.359.5000 x228 or hgelroth@vinsweb.org.

This family-friendly event celebrates all things clean water\, beginning with the pivotal water quality efforts\, led by Laughlin in the early 1970s\, that transformed the Ottauquechee River and set new standards for environmental protection. From interactive wildlife programs and guided nature walks to hands-on water-themed activities\, visitors of all ages will discover the incredible impact one person can have on preserving our natural world. Explore raptor programs\, engage with stream ecology\, and participate in fun games that bring environmental education to life. Come celebrate clean water\, local wildlife\, and the vision of a true environmental pioneer! \nEvent Schedule:\n\nAll-day activities (10:00AM – 4:00PM) \nVINS History Photo Gallery (Neale Pavilion)\nA self-guided tour through the history of VINS!
