And this year’s theme is the important role of insects in the survival and migration of so many birds.  \nProgram Schedule:  \n11 AM – 11:30 AM / Raptor Migration\nJoin VINS as we delve into the amazing journey of migration! We’ll meet migratory raptors as well as residents\, and learn about the benefits and challenges of making a thousand-mile journey every single year of your life. Join photographer Bob Fleck on a photographic journey to witness the dramatic seasonal changes that occur throughout the year; the transitions in the plant and animal communities that call these special environments home. In particular\, focusing on bird migration\, to highlight the diverse array of birds that depend on bogs for safety and refuge during their annual migrations. Afterward\, Bob Fleck will be available to sign copies of his book\, Seasons at a New England Bog. What does it take to care for and treat the injured birds at VINS? This program will give you a window into daily life at the VINS Center for Wild Bird Rehabilitation & Ambassador Care. You’ll learn how patients are admitted\, diagnosed\, treated\, and released\, and even meet some of our former patients\, who are now education ambassadors!
