VINS is proud to announce its sponsorship of the Upper Valley Nighthawks for the 2025 summer baseball season. As part of this exciting partnership, VINS will be giving away free admission tickets to the Nature Center during between-inning promotions at Nighthawks home games beginning July 1st.
“We’re thrilled to partner with the Upper Valley Nighthawks,” said Emily Boren, Director of Marketing. “Having a team named after a bird you might see soaring overhead on a summer evening makes this partnership a natural choice. An evening of baseball at Maxfield Sports Complex is a wonderful way for Upper Valley families to spend quality time together outdoors—just like a visit to our Nature Center. By giving away Nature Center tickets between innings, we’re hoping friends and families will make both experiences part of their summer adventures.”
The common nighthawk is known for their aerial acrobatics as they hunt insects at dusk and dawn, performing dramatic dives that create a distinctive “booming” sound with their wing feathers. Once common throughout Vermont, nighthawk populations have declined significantly in recent decades due to habitat loss and other environmental pressures.
“The Nighthawks are very proud of this partnership” said Matt Wright, Nighthawks General Manager. “VINS has been an anchor in the Upper Valley for many years, and I myself grew up spending summer days at the Nature Center. With baseball as our vehicle, a large part of our mission is to lift up other Upper Valley organizations while bringing awareness to important subjects, such as education and nature.”
VINS will have a presence at select Nighthawks home games throughout the season, with staff available to share information about the center’s programs. Free VINS admission tickets will be distributed during between-inning activities, giving families an opportunity to experience the center’s live animal exhibits, nature trails, and educational programs.
The Upper Valley Nighthawks play their home games at Maxfield Sports Complex in Hartford, VT. For the complete game schedule and ticket information, visit the Nighthawks website here.
