Membership Guidelines

VINS members receive a membership card that will list up to two adults from the same household.
A VINS member listed on the card needs to be present to use the membership benefits.
The total group size allowed entry using the membership is limited to the number listed on the membership card.
Your membership card and privileges are non-transferable. They are valid only for the person(s) named on the membership account.
The membership card is required, and a photo ID may be requested, for admission.
Cardholders must be 18 or older.
Membership purchases are non-refundable.

Membership FAQs

How many guests does my membership allow?
The total group size, which includes both members and guests, is limited to the number on your membership card.

Can I share my membership with other family members?
All general membership benefits are for one household for one year. One of the members listed on the card, must be present to use the membership benefits. You may also purchase a gift membership for other households.

May I purchase a VINS membership using my IRA or Donor Advised Fund?
Yes. You can use IRA or Donor Advised Fund to purchase membership. We recommend that you identify your tax deduction with a professional source.

Is my membership purchase considered tax deductible?
VINS memberships may be tax-deductible, depending on the membership level. We recommend that you identify your tax deduction with a professional source.

May I send my children with their grandparents?
A Four-Person (or higher level) membership allows for a caregiver to escort your children to the Nature Center. The caregiver will need to present your VINS membership card upon admission.

May I send my children with their nanny or babysitter?
A Four-Person (or higher level) membership allows for a caregiver to escort your children to the Nature Center. The caregiver must be at least 18 years of age and will need to present your VINS membership card upon admission.

We Rely on You

VINS is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization, wholly supported by memberships, admission and program fees, gifts, and grants. Donors will be listed in VINS Annual Report. VINS will not sell, trade, or share any donor's personal information with anyone else, nor send donor mailings on behalf of other organizations.
