Nature Store Associate (Seasonal)

As the VINS Nature Store Associate, you will work with visitor services staff members to sell admissions to the VINS Nature Center, provide information on programs, offer product knowledge on store items, and promote the Ambassador Adopt and Membership programs. Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, demonstrating outstanding customer service and working as part of the team to meet the organization’s financial objectives. Retail experience is preferred for this position.

JOB LOCATION: VINS Nature Center, 149 Natures Way, Quechee, Vermont

  • Strong sales register experience
  • Experience with online sales and fulfillment on a daily basis
  • Accuracy of reports and inventory taking
  • Ensure the professional and friendly reception of visitors at the VINS Nature Center
  • Assist guests in selecting items for purchase, know the features and benefits of product
  • Encourage Membership and the Ambassador Adopt Program sales in support of the organization’s programs
  • Assist in stocking, cleaning, ticketing and maintaining the overall appearance and function of the store
  • Be conscious of workplace safety and security at all times
  • Floor coverage flexibility and dependability with schedules
