Chickadee Landing Station
Chickadee Landing Station
Take flight and see the world from a new perspective, a tiny, black-and-white bird, the chickadee! In this special and unique field trip, students will get an opportunity to have an up-close and personal encounter with common feeder birds that might land on their heads or even their hands! Discover why it is important to care for the environment and what changes we can make to help protect bird populations from declining. Students will also move through the layers of the forest on the Forest Canopy Walk, learning how each layer of the forest provides the perfect habitat for what each bird needs to survive.
This field trip only occurs during the winter when it is safe to provide food for birds.
