Visitor Expectations

At the VINS Nature Center, it is our priority to create a safe environment for all our visitors, volunteers and staff. We ask all visitors to follow our COVID Visitor Expectations.

VINS will refuse entry to anyone who does not comply.

Travel Guidelines

There are no domestic travel restrictions or quarantine guidelines in place for Vermont.

International visitors, please be aware, there are requirements for international travel. To learn about international travel guidance visit the Vermont Health Department’s travel advisory webpage.

Mask Guidelines

Masks are required in all indoor spaces at the Nature Center, regardless of your vaccination status.*

*We are implementing our mask status based on recommendations from the CDC regarding public indoor spaces.

If You Are Sick, Stay Home

Please visit us another day if you are feeling sick.

Wash Your Hands

Hand sanitizing stations are available throughout the VINS Nature Center for visitor use.


We recommend that you purchase your tickets in advance to decrease time spent at the ticket window. All programs, exhibits (including the Forest Canopy Walk) are included with general admission.

If you are a VINS Member, please show your membership card upon entry. To use an EBT Card, Medicaid Card or Library Pass, please show your card and purchase tickets upon entry.

Additional Safety Measures

Some exhibits have been modified to allow for one-way traffic flow through them.
