Emily graduated from Plymouth State University with a degree in Conservation Ecology. She started at VINS in 2020 as an avian rehabilitator at the Center for Wild Bird Rehabilitation. She then began her role as Research Biologist in the research department in Spring of 2022. Her main projects include the American Kestrel Nest Box Monitoring Project and winter raptor trapping. She enjoys painting and her work can be seen on the interpretive panels throughout VINS’ forest canopy walk. Emily lives in the lakes region of New Hampshire with her husband, cat, dog, and pigeons.
