Artist Exhibition – Ian Clark

MAY 1 - JULY 31 - Ian Clark’s nature photography contains over 400 species from the Bay of Fundy to the Strait of Juan de Fuca. Ian’s work has appeared in numerous books, magazines, newspapers, calendars and print ads. These days, his photo shoots include editorial, stock and commercial users from his home in West Newbury, VT.

Beginner Bird Walk – Introduction to Birding

MAY 11 - Join VINS for a birding adventure through the varied habitats at the VINS Nature Center, culminating in the treetops on the Forest Canopy Walk. During this workshop, VINS staff will open your eyes and ears to the avian life around you and help you build the skills to start birding wherever you go.

MAY 11 - Come celebrate World Migratory Bird Day to learn all about the spectacular seasonal movement of wild birds. Learn how raptors like the ones that call VINS home migrate, and join two guest speakers as they dive into the importance of wetland habitats like bogs for migratory birds and the life of one of Vermont’s iconic migratory birds – the Common Loon! And this year’s theme is the important role of insects in the survival and migration of so many birds.
