SEPTEMBER 1 - 30 - VINS Members, up to four people, get reciprocal membership to Squam Lakes Natural Science Center! That means membership access to two centers for the price of one! Forest Storytime
Forest Storytime
Join an Educator for our early learner's story time. This program is for children five and younger. We will read stories, play games, sing songs, and laugh with puppets. Each week will focus on a different topic to learn about animals, plants, or other wonders of nature. This experience is designed to help promote connection, exploration, curiosity, and joy for the outdoors. Programming will start at 10 AM and last for 30 minutes. Please arrive 15 minutes early to allow time to purchase admission tickets at the Nature Store and make your way to the Forest Exhibit for some forest family fun.

Robert Frost Through the Seasons: Fall
Robert Frost Through the Seasons: Fall
OCTOBER 2, 16 & 30 - Join VINS Executive Director Alden Smith to explore the poetry of Robert Frost. Each session will be dedicated to reading and interpreting poems relevant to the season. These workshops will involve gentle trail walking through the woods and meadow of the VINS Nature Center, visiting natural spaces reminiscent of locations Frost wrote about. Poems will be sent to participants in advance of each session for those who want to read the poems ahead of time. The workshops will include walking, presentation, and discussion.
