Family Fun Program + Forest of Lights (for families with young children)
NOVEMBER & DECEMBER – Join us for a special family-friendly evening to celebrate the wonders of winter. This hour-long program is inspired by winter snow and animals that thrive in the cold. Enjoy a puppet show and story, practice hunting like an owl in winter, create your own Forest of Lights lantern and bird feeder, find all the hidden winter animals, and experiment with ice treasures. This program is an additional experience to your Forest of Lights ticket. Buy your tickets now as space is limited.
Nocturnal Explorers
JANUARY 17 – Experience the night through your senses and learn how our local wildlife experience the night-time a little bit differently. Play games, test your color vision, learn about different types of light after dark, and meet one of our education owls!
Superb Owls
FEBRUARY 7 – Learn about the stats of “owl” of your favorite players at the Superb Owl! Meet our ambassador owls and discover what makes them such tough competition in the fields. Play games to learn what it’s like to hunt as an owl and take a closer look inside the food chain through an owl pellet dissection. Round off the evening with an owl prowl on the trails here at VINS in search of wild owls. After the prowl, treat yourself to some Superb Owl snacks!
