
Lead Biologist
Jim began working at VINS as a camp instructor in the summer of 2014 after graduating from the University of Vermont with a BS in Wildlife Biology. He then worked several seasons at VINS as an environmental educator, and wildlife rehabilitator. He became the Lead Biologist in the newly formed Center for Field Research in 2020. He currently serves on the Board of the White River Partnership, and is a member of Vermont Fish and Wildlife Department’s Scientific Advisory Group on Birds. Outside of VINS, Jim has volunteered as an Advanced EMT on Woodstock Ambulance since 2014, and on Hartland Rescue since 2020. He is also the current Animal Control Officer for the towns of Hartland, and Sharon.
