The weather outside may be frightful but, here at VINS Nature Camp, wintertime brings many opportunities for investigation and discovery from winter weather phenomena to amazing animal survival behaviors. Join us for an adventure this holiday season.
Come for one day or all three!
We will spend time outside during the camp day so campers should be properly dressed for outdoor wintertime activities.

Despite harsh conditions, many creatures are still active during the wintertime, traveling across frozen rivers on the hunt for a meal or seeking refuge in thick woods from winter’s wild weather. Discover who can be found out and about during these short, dark days, from the sky above to the ground below and everywhere in between.

Wintertime blankets Vermont’s landscape in layers of snow and ice. Delve into the science of winter weather with explorations and experiments that will unravel the mysteries of these frosty phenomena.
Day 3 / Winter Wonderland
Friday, January 3
The natural world is full of amazing discoveries waiting to be uncovered by the keen observer. This camp will teach campers to become naturalists, putting their observation skills to the test, honing their patience, and feeding their curiosity and sense of wonder as they explore our wintery world and become true students of nature.
