Water Quality Research at the VINS Nature Center
We are conducting water quality research projects. Details on each topic are listed below.
Lake Monitoring
VINS as part of the Vermont Department of Environmental Conservation’s cyanobacteria monitoring efforts observes the water quality at Lake Pinneo.
Water Quality Testing in Kedron Brook
VINS in partnership with the Ottauquechee Natural Resources Conservation District is helping coordinate and collect water quality samples along Kedron Brook in Woodstock. Kedron Brook is one of a few stressed streams in the Ottauquechee watershed. This project hopes to identify the cause of contaminates in the water and work to mitigate the problem.
