The gnawed trees and stumps are the undeniable evidence of a beaver’s presence in a forest. Connect the beaver’s trademark with its adaptations through a closer look at the beaver skull and beaver pelts. Discover the strength of a beaver’s front teeth and examine the type of sticks used in the construction of their dams. Students will have the opportunity to familiarize them-selves with a beaver’s adaptations and apply what they learn while exploring the forests of Vermont.
